The concepts in this book are fresh and rich, beautifully illustrated with personal stories and well-executed summaries of Christ's life. It is unique in that it is written for a large Christian audience regardless of denomination. It has a calming effect that will bring tranquility and living water to the parched among us in these turbulent times. I loved the author's stories, and I loved the flow. This is a very important book!

Excerpt: Chapter 3
"Under a clear sky, the light of the stars and the full moon reflected off the water in front of me. Everyone there on the riverbank was waiting to float a kratong down the river. As the excitement grew, I began to ask around: "Why do you loy (float) kratongs down the river?" There were many answers, but one impressed me. "We place our grief and sins on the kratongs and send them down the river to wash them away and to bless us with peace and happiness." According to Thai tradition it's the light from the candles that carries away sin. The launch then began and thousands of candled kratongs filled the river and the water literally became a river of light. It's hard to describe the feelings I experienced as I watched the light flow down the river. I had come to the river feeling lonely, but as I beheld the light of these living waters, serenity reigned. In retrospect, I find it interesting that many of the individuals who stood along the river that night hadn't even heard of Jesus Christ. They didn't know he is the true light of the world, the source of living waters and the only one with real power to carry away our pain and sins. They also didn't know how dearly Christ had sacrificed for them. Innately, however, they desired everything his sacrifice provides - peace, joy, and atonement from our sins."
