"On one particular night the sky was exceptionally clear. With thousands of stars over head as I looked up, I felt as if I were gazing into eternity. While I paused to reflect on the view, a bright star shot across the sky, trailing a streak of light. It emerged from eternity and returned to eternity in an instant, disappearing from view. It was an ordinary shooting star, but it confirmed the impression we've all felt from time to time - Like the star, we too belong to eternity. For a brief moment we emerge from eternity here upon earth, springing forth from God, our eternal home. Then in an instant we die and disappear from view, returning to that eternity from whence we came, returning to our home."
